In the game, Mario and Luigi are visiting Princess Peach and leave her castle in Tanooki form, with the princess waving them off, to collect coins in the sky. As soon as they land, the Koopalings appear in the Koopa Clown Car and slam into the ground, causing the brothers to lose their raccoon powers. They reveal that they have taken Princess Peach once again, and the brothers espere neste site give chase.
